Why Preserve?Spotted owls, along with many other species, are in dire need of protection from habitat loss. Deforestation and habitat loss is exactly what is killing off the spotted owl population in British Columbia. In order to maintain the Earth's current state, and hopefully to improve the Earth, species must be protected. When people come to Spotted Owl Conservation National Park, they will realize how important this cause is, and hopefully start to change their lifestyle in favour of Planet Earth.
Why Here? This specific area of Canada is in need of a national park. In order to protect endangered species and the forests of British Columbia, a conservation national park is perfect! There are not many national parks near this area, and a national park should be easily accessible for everyone. The Pacific Maritime Ecozone has wildlife that needs to be protected, and will probably not be protected if a national park is not put into place.
